Glaucoma, an increase in intraocular pressure in the eye, is a common cause of vision loss in the United States. Early diagnosis and treatment are necessary to prevent vision loss, as once this loss occurs it is not reversible.
An increase in intraocular pressure indicates a problem with proper fluid balance in the body. We focus on the health of the systems involved in maintaining appropriate amounts of minerals and in the exchange of fluids.
Kidney remedies, in particular, may be recommended, as the kidneys are the organs that control electrolyte balance in the body. In addition, the colon is especially important in reabsorbing fluids from the bowel.
On an emotional level, glaucoma patients may be holding on to things unnecessarily. This type of pattern can contribute to fluid imbalances in the body. In this case, remedies will focus on allowing your emotions to flow, so that your fluid balance can return to normal.
