Dr. Krisko is excited to offer IV nutrient therapy to her patients. IV nutrients, in clinical practice, can provide rapid symptom relief in a wide array of situations by delivering vitamins and minerals directly into the bloodstream. Bypassing the digestive tract, IVs allow for a greater volume of nutrients to saturate your cells. This makes IV nutrient administration a powerful and efficient therapy for numerous health concerns.
Our formulas are designed to boost or speed the healing process and can be used acutely (for colds, flus, detoxification or post-surgical healing) or for long term care for cancer support, autoimmune conditions, weight loss, adrenal or immune dysfunction. She offers two basic IV boosts along with simple B12 injections, glutathione pushes and IV iron to anemic patients. In addition, she can tailor an IV formula to your needs.
This formula, also known as a Myer’s cocktail, supports the adrenal glands and immune system. It increases energy levels in general and can leave you feeling relaxed immediately after the treatment, thanks to the magnesium in the formula.
A heartier version of our Energy Booster IV, she recommend this Multi IV formula at the first sign of a cold or flu or as a series if you are recovering from surgery or if you need some extra help healing from an injury. The Immune Booster IV will drive up white blood cell activity and can dramatically decrease acute symptoms.
Conditions that can benefit from IV therapy:
Receiving an IV from Dr. Krisko should be a relaxing experience. Lounge in one of our comfortable chairs, drink water, read or doze off, if you like. After an initial pin prick (like a blood draw), there is not much sensation.
IV therapy requires a prescription from a physician. If you are new to Dr. Krisko’s practice, you will need a preliminary visit and labs before she can deliver your first IV treatment. Treatments generally last 30-60 minutes.
Most people report feeling very relaxed and energized after the visit. Symptom relief can last days to weeks, depending on your unique health and reasons for the therapy.
IV Therapy is offered by Dr. Krisko under the following circumstances:
To acquire a written prescription from one of our doctors, you will be scheduled for a brief intake exam and the required bloodwork (unless you can show the physician recent bloodwork that meets our requirements).
At the intake, she will rule out kidney or liver disease by going over the required labs and ask some pertinent questions regarding your health. You will then be required to meet with her every 4-8 weeks of your IV protocol to make sure things are proceeding as expected.
IV nutrient therapy is not intended to diagnose or treat disease. It is offered as a supportive, adjunctive treatment.
